SYNOPSIS
Songbirds, Seabirds, Shorebirds, Residents, Migrants. The St. Andrews peninsula and environs provide a wonderful location to find, watch and identify up to 300+ species of birds. The diverse geography and landscapes of Charlotte County and the lower Bay of Fundy results in both passerine and aquatic bird habitat and feeding areas. You will spend time on the shore, in a marsh and a variety of woodland settings.
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Moderate
You will be traversing a variety of terrain that may or may not have established footpaths. Sturdy footwear that is also appropriate for wet/muddy terrain is a necessity.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Observing activities at the Huntsman Marine operated St. Andrews Bird Banding Station
- Visiting numerous bird observation locales, including local marshes, Ministers Island & Kingsbrae Garden
- Spending time on a Passamaquoddy Bay cruise

This Huntsman Marine – Encounter with Nature™ provides an immersive bird lover’s experience with a full schedule, having one activity flowing into the next, and will include evening sessions. Field trips are a go “rain or shine.” The following schedule at a glance is provided as an inspirational guide, but we may have to juggle activities based on weather conditions for each day.
