CONTEST RULES & ELIGIBILITY

Each entry must be composed of a piece of hand-drawn artwork, a complete entry form and a complete release form to be eligible. Entries with missing information do not count as a complete entry and will not be selected as a winner for the calendar.

All students must be in kindergarten through grade 12 and enrolled in public, private, or home school in the province of New Brunswick.

Students must work individually. Only one entry (artwork, release form, and entry form) per student. Multiple entries per person may result in disqualification.
ARTWORK & DESCRIPTION REQUIREMENTS:

The artwork must be hand-drawn on a single sheet of 8.5” x 11” paper in landscape orientation.

Use blank, white, non-glossy paper; do not laminate.

Any art medium may be used (e.g., pencil crayons, paint, crayons, etc.); however, computer graphics will not be accepted. Artwork must be hand-drawn by the student.

Artwork must be flat (e.g., no glued pieces or glitter) and able to be scanned.

Avoid labelling debris items with any brand names in the artwork.

A description of 75 words must accompany the artwork (space provided on the entry form).

If dropping off entry in-person, label each entry on the back in pencil with student’s name, age, grade and school name.
Entry Form – There should be one entry form filled out per student. Please ensure that the entry form is filled out completely and legibly. All entries (entry form + artwork, and release form) must be submitted no later than Friday, March 18th, 2022, at 4pm. See below for how to submit your entry.
Competition Process – All entries will be collected by the Huntsman Marine Science Centre and 13 winners will be selected for their artwork to be printed into the calendar. Entries (artwork and description) will be judged on the creativity, artistic presentation, and relevancy to the theme. All entries must include a piece of artwork, a release form, and an entry form to be eligible for the contest.
