Community Partnerships

Effective Huntsman outreach also means using our facilities to support other like-minded community-based organizations as they strive to meet their own mission and ensure we remain a strong age-friendly community!

Huntsman, with its Fundy Discovery Aquarium, along with Ministers Island and Kingsbrae Garden represent the big three attractions within the St. Andrews-by-the-Sea resort area – collectively welcoming about 100,000 guests each year.

In 2020, our three attractions worked together to offer tourists a single Explore St. Andrews Pass that offered unlimited entry over three days for one great price!

The St. Andrews Nature Club held its first meeting on January 17, 2019 and has a growing membership base who enjoy lecture-style meetings and field trips encompassing all kinds of local skies, land and coastal nature. In September 2020, the Club moved its meetings to the Dunn Science Theatre in the Huntsman Fundy Discovery Aquarium. St. Andrews Nature Club meetings at Huntsman are a ‘natural’ fit for both organizations, which share a common objective to foster awareness and protection of the natural wonders that surround us in southwest New Brunswick and beyond.

The New Brunswick Public Library Service (NBPLS) operates the network of public libraries in New Brunswick. Huntsman participates in an annual program with NBPLS that offers free admission to the Fundy Discovery Aquarium during an agreed period of time to all New Brunswick library cardholders who checks out a book within a defined period. In August 2020, Huntsman welcomed 2,042 guests to the Fundy Discovery Aquarium through this program.
