This year, food service premises must ensure at least one person with a food-handling program certificate is present at all times in areas where food is being prepared.
A National Food Safety Training Program (NFSTP) course is being held at the Huntsman Marine Science Centre’s Fundy Discovery Aquarium boardroom on February 20, 2012.
The deadline for registration is February 14, 2012.
The course, which costs $100, includes topics such as food safety hazards, facilities and equipment design, control of hazards, flow of food, sanitation and pest control, and employee/visitor issues.
Refreshments and lunch are provided.
