		If you’ve visited the Huntsman Aquarium/Sealab, you’ll already know how many different creatures live here. You can help by adopting one of our creatures today (and leave the feeding and cleaning to us). You can also give an adoption as a gift! Adoptive ‘parents’ will receive: An adoption certificate, including a picture of your animal Acknowledgement of your adoption on the parents’ board The satisfaction of knowing you are helping to care for an animal Tax receipts are issued for contributions of $20 or more. All of our adoptable
creatures are from
the local area

The majority of the creatures are collected each year by student groups participating in courses at the Huntsman. Some, however, are brought in by visitors.

Rare finds, such as blue lobsters or albino sea cucumbers, are kept at the aquarium year-round, while the more common animals are returned to the ocean at the end of the season.
