Administrative Assistant

SUMMARY: The Huntsman Marine Science Centre (www.huntsmanmarine.ca) is expanding its administration department. We are seeking to fill an Administrative Assistant position this full time position requires a motivated professional whom will join a team of support staff and support all departments of the Huntsman.


  • Provide administrative support to all departmental members.
  • Perform basic bookkeeping and administration functions.
  • Accounts payable/ accounts receivable support.
  • Courteously receive and screen all in-bound calls, emails, and visitors.
  • Review, evaluate and distribute all incoming and outgoing mail as well as shipping and receiving.
  • Maintain daily appointments and booking of calendar appointments.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality in all interactions.
  • Other duties, relevant to the position, shall be assigned as required.


  • Business Administration degree or diploma required.
  • 1-2 years’ experience as an Administrative Assistant, or relevant role, considered an asset.
  • Proficient use of various office based software including Microsoft Office
